It was moving up my foot so I thought I should probably get on an antibiotic. I went to a walk in clinic and was wearing flip flops due to shoes hurting it to much.

When the Doctor and PA came in to look, they put on gloves and were pointing at my feet as if I was a Leper. Trying to figure out if it had got infected from a spider bite or an ingrown hair. Turned out it was a spider bite. They then went on to tell me I had a bad case of athletes foot. Big Surprise. Not really. I mean I am not the best about wearing my flip flops at the gym. After totaling grossing out both doctors with my black toenails and athletes foot and infected spider bite, the PA came back for the treatment.

He saw that I had moles on my feet and encouraged (scared) me into making a appointment with a dermatologist (which I need to do anyway). He then went on to tell me to see a podiatrist (foot doctor) because my feet were in bad shape.

The PA was an overweight 40 year old whole probably hadn't exercised in years.

He went on to tell me that I needed to wash my running shoes and quit running so often. HAHA. This guys is a joke I thought to myself who washes running shoes, you throw them away and get new ones every 3-4 months why would you risk ruining them in the wash machine prior to that. I tried to explain to him that that was not going to happen. He went on to tell me that I was going to have problems with my feet from exercising. I thought "wow, really, I bet I will have less health problems being fit then you will have being a middle aged fat ass." I know that wasn't the nicest thought but who was he to tell me to not run as much when he probably has never run a day in his life. SO what that I have a few black toenails.

I left feeling pretty lousy, I had an infected foot, athletes foot, beat up feet, possible skin cancer, and horrible feet. Talk about a great way to start a week. I go to the Dermatologist a week from Wednesday for the moles on the bottom of my feet so we will see what happens.

And guess what I have doubled my running millage since I went to the doctor haha.

Fresh Start

So Thursday my boss told me I am probably being laid off on the 15th. I wasn't that surprised really but it does cause a lot of stress. I have spent the time since then updating my resume looking for jobs and building a new website. As soon as I get this site done I will start sending it out. I figure the more people I tell the more people I have that could help me find a new job. The money thing is a little stressful but we were smart when we bought the house and have enough in saving but defiantly causes stress. Not sure what I am wanting to do, I would stay in my field or even be up for making a change I guess it is up in the air right now. I better get back to "work" aka building a website and searching for jobs. Staying faithful in the meantime and trying to keep a positive attitude.

I'm Back

Alright it has been a while, no excuse I guess I could say I have been busy but I could have made time. Lots of stuff going on kind of I guess. Now that I said that I can't think of anything to write. Kona dog is good she a little bit bigger but still around 20lbs, she has a vet appointment on Saturday morning, where she is supposed to be 35lbs and I am doubting she will gain that in 4 days haha. Maybe we won't have a huge dog after all. I am hoping she will be around 50-60 that would be a good size. Her new thing is going upstairs I guess she is trying to become more independent. She also has developed a yippy little bark that is high pitched and annoying to hear. Other then that she is doing good, still has dry flaky skin but hopefully we will get that taken care of at the vet this week.

Stuff to live without

So at our church we really do not do lent. I thought it would be fun to try and give some stuff up for a while anyway, why not. I decided I eat way to much sugar and candy and drink a pop almost everyday. So no more candy, no more pop, and no more dessert type stuff. Candy will be the most difficult. Lindz and I are both doing it for fun I guess kind of just to see if we can. I think I will feel better when working out if I am eating healthier stuff so that will be a positive, I just lost 8 lbs and am down to 148 a low for like 2 years, but am lifting and doing a lot of core work along with getting back into running biking swimming mode more intensely we will see what happens. We went and put all our ski clothes on and took the dog. I ran and dove onto the sled and hit the snow and just rolled and plopped down haha. We needed some ice or something, maybe a more high tech sled would have done it but the little kids were flying down the high next to us. Oh well it was fun and Kona loved the snow and chasing the sled down the high and chasing us back up...she then slept the rest of the day.

Healthcare (new twist)

Alright so my last post on the subject got all kinds of attention. That is great I like to hear what people have to say. This time though let take it right now for what it is. Yes it is expensive, making it very hard to afford for many people (reason for the problem), no one will probably argue that. Why is it so expensive though? Obesity is a HUGE problem right now in the US. The number one reason why healthcare costs are so high (number 2 is smokers). Basically if you are fit and healthy, you pay the same as you overweight couch potatoe co-worker that is on 8 different medications and gets sick easily due to a crappy immune system. Ok that was harsh but true. Many people on a lot of these medications for type two diabetes and high blood pressure and other things, all it would take is a few weeks of a drastic change of lifestyle and they could stop taking them all together. As long as they keep it up they could be totally off them. I don't get it. Not only are they driving our healthcare costs up but they are killing themselves. Maybe instead of focusing on making healthcare affordable by having the government step in, we should start focusing on the root of the problem....OBESITY. That is all for now, feel free to comment away.

Keeping work separate

I try and keep my two lives separate, I do not like to blend the two. I do not mixed the two or blend the two or at least try not to. When I leave work, I LEAVE it at work, unless of course I have to bring it home with me. I think this is very important to be able to turn it on and turn it off. I could never be good friends with work people cause when I leave work I don't want to talk about work I want to live my life. I defiantly work to live not live to work. To add to this if you are good friends with people you work with and you have to work out a work problem and someone is at fault then something gets said and someone takes it personally because there is a friendship involved everything gets stirred up. But to contradict myself I think it can be good sometimes to be friends with the people you work with especially if you can leave whats at the office at the office, some people can do this and it works out, I don't really know where I am at with this yet.

The other thing I do not like to mix is business with family or close friends. This is something thats hard to understand. It has its exceptions but overall it makes for awkward situations when it mixes. Say someone sells you something and something goes wrong with it, then you feel like it is there fault or they feel like it is their fault or you both feel bad in some way, it is almost guaranteed to happen. Or you find a better deal elsewhere after you paid a lot more because you bought it from someone you know and the gave you a "good" deal. You can't go back to them and be like I found it this much cheaper somewhere else like you could if you bought it from someone you didn't know...then you could go make a scene get the difference back or at least try without feeling bad about it.

Mixing business and friends family just feels like a bad idea sometimes, it causes a lot of problems. At the same time it causes problems when you do not mix it....so it is just a sensitive topic and you have to be careful when and how you do it.

Wow this post is a little of the wall, doesn't make a lot of since.....sorry.

Healthcare

I was just reading a post on a forum that I like to visit, it was a post from a Canadian triathete who has something wrong with his feet. It has been diagnosed and the test have been done. Because it is socialized health care in Canada, he doesn't have a lot of options and is in a lot of pain and won't be able to have surgery until April at the earliest. Wow. He is so desperate that he is willing to come to the US and pay out of pocket if he could have this done sooner. I think ALL of you people that think universal healthcare is this GREAT thing, you need to reconsider. I know it will never work in the US because people will always have the option of getting private healthcare and those people will then have better doctors and treatments then those who are on a universal healthcare plan. People don't think these things through at all, as soon as it happens then people will complain that they aren't getting as good of healthcare as someone who has it privately. PEOPLE NEED TO GO DEEPER THEN JUST "FREE HEALTHCARE, THATS A GREAT IDEA!" Seriously.

Happy Ground hog Day

Well it is groundhog day. A holiday. Guess what he saw his stupid shadow and crawled back into his little hole for 6 more weeks of sleep. Thanks Phil, we really can't take much more of this winter stuff. I am so ready for it to warm up. It was 50 degrees on Saturday and I couldn't even run outside because I was sick, finally I get hit with a cold, I haven't had one for close to two years so I am do for one I guess. Take about dangerous, I can't believe the texting generation, it is ridiculous. It is getting a little out of control. I remember in high school I maybe sent one every couple of days or so, now even I send a few a day maybe. I can make a call and get a lot more accomplished in a shorter amount of time then going back and forth on text messages.

Lets get back to it though. Why ban talking on a cell phone, and possibly even using a hands-free devise or bluetooth but not do anything about texting or even email. I catch myself reading email while driving and responding and I know it is dangerous.

People writing these things need to take a look around, talking is not the problem texting and email is the problem.

Kona Dog

Well it has been an interesting 11 days of having a puppy. Who knew they were so much work. Well we knew, but it is a lot to deal with the first few days. The first night she slept all night until 5am which was a complete fluke, but I didn't sleep at ll thinking about stuff and getting a dog and being OCD, because the next night she didn't sleep more then an hour at a time and let me tell you that dog can really scream. The next night we did a ticking clock and a water bottle with warm water in a sock and one of my t shirts, success, kind of. She only got up once at 2:30 then slept until 6. We then moved her to the 2nd bedroom, furthest room from a party wall. She still screamed when she went in, but settled down. Now she doesn't make a sound all night she sleeps all night and i wake her up around 6:15 to go outside and feed her, then I entertain her while Lindz gets ready for work then I shower quick before Lindz has to leave then it is me and Kona until I leave.

She is starting to go to the door and ring the bell to go outside thank God. She had a few peeing accidents, but a lot of it was because she had a UTI and she is now on meds to take care of it. She is not a dog motivated by food, thats for sure. She has no interest in any of the 6 kinds of treats we attempt to give her. She also gets very distracted while eating and has to be brought back to her food and to drink water. She likes the cheese i give her her pill with though.

She loves the snow. I had to finally get so boots because even though I shovel a nice large great patch in the year she prefers to pee and poop in the snow. I am glad she likes it outside even when it is cold I really don't mind walking with her in freezing temps and her playing out there it is kind of fun.

Most people say getting a dog to pee and poop outside in the winter is hard, I think it is a great time for them to learn they are only going outside for that purpose and first so they learn quickly. Kona seems to be a pretty smart dog, she is mastering sit right now and will then move onto down and come. A little hard training her when she doesn't like treats but we will get there.

She met my parents dog, Allie the other night then again last night. Allie tries to be dominant and there was a little snipping a growling but Kona will learn, or Allie will when Kona is 40 more pounds then she is. Last night they did a lot better though.

Stay tuned for more updates...

http://www.kcci.com/video/18558869/index.html

I was reminded that i have been pretty bad about keeping this updated this weekend. So I thought I would post this video from the weekend. A bunch of friends I haven't seen for a while riding in the mall to help raise awareness for the Livestrong foundation. This was pretty awesome. People really didn't understand what was going on in the mall though. Made me feel like my 45 minutes on the trainer was worthless compared to their 3 hour ride. I guess thats all for now check out the video.

Kona

So the dog has arrived. She is pretty good. She eats, sleeps, pees and poops, then repeats. She puts everything in her mouth. She seems to do pretty well outside going to the bathroom she has only pee'd a few times in the house and has yet to poop inside. We are using the bell method for her to signal us to go out, I think she would rather put the bell in her mouth then hit it with her paw. We will see how long it takes for her to figure out to go to the door on her own, hopefully within a week or two. The first night she slept until 5 am with no whining. it was a fluke, because the next night she screamed and whined and cried just about ever hour. So now we have the ticking clock a t shirt and a warm water bottle in her cage with her and last night she only cried and screamed at 1am and then slept the rest of the night. So hopefully she can get through the night tonight that would be great. The neighbors do hear her, we went and asked and introduced ourselves last night, I think it made us feel better to say, if it bothers you let us know. The woman was prego so I am sure we will have to deal with a crying baby eventually. I will post some pics.

The New Years Resoulutioners Invade

The gym was craziness last night, Monday nights are always very busy, start the week off right. So we wait until about 7 to go. Last night was nuts even at 7 the place was packed with people. Don't get me wrong, I think it is great these people are doing something good by getting into the gym and working out, but some take it a little overboard. I was on the treadmill people watching as a young overweight man sprinted at full speed around the track maybe one and half times before just about keeling over. Start slow, people wondering why they hurt so bad and don't want to go back to the gym in February. You can't go from doing absolutely nothing since last New Years Resolution to killing yourself the first week, anyone would burn out quick. You New Years Resolutioners sorry but you stick out like a swore thumb, regulars know who each other are familiar faces they see week after week, you are not blending in by pushing your body to the limit for short periods and making people think they are going to have to preform mouth to mouth on you before your first 15 minutes is up. I am not trying to be mean but seriously why is January 1st any different then any other time. People that want to get in shape need the drive all year around to stay in shape, it has to be a lifestyle not a new years goal that fades as the year goes on.

ok so thats my rant on that.... I am glad to see that people are getting out there and getting into shape I just wish some would go about it differently and stick to it. Not invade the gym like chickens with their heads cut off.

The Biggest Loser (final)

This is a follow up. Watched the final episode last night, what a great show. I should have work out before watching it I felt like I should be loosing weight too haha. Those people should be so proud how they have changed their lives completely it is amazing. Seeing their emotion was great. Alright I am looking forward to the next one starting, looks like it will be a good one. People that were on up to 9 medications and have 3 diseases starting out that are now on NO medications at all. Type two diabetes GOES AWAY! amazing these people should be an inspiration to people thats health is going down hill. I mean Heba and Ed were a couple that can now get prego and don't have to worry about a unsafe pregnancy because of weight.

On another note. have you seen those Xbox 360 commercials where its the persons face and then goes around to a cutout of their head, I guess they are netflix too. These are the creepiest commercials I don't get it. Weird.

The Biggest Loser

It has been a while, sorry, I have been busy. Last night Lindz and I were watching the Biggest Loser on TV. What a show. How inspiring, really these people look great after 11 weeks they don't even recognize themselves. They workout hard, I mean really hard makes me feel like I don't work out hard enough. It really inspired me to workout harder and have weight lose goals. It is just great to see these people motivated to get healthy, there is so much this country could learn from this show. Why is everyone so fat...sorry blunt but really we were talking about diets at work and which one is the trend and so on. My approach to dieting is EAT LESS AND WORK OUT MORE. plus don't eat after 7:30 at night if you get hungry have a glass of water. I don't always live by these "standards" but I think it is worth a try. Everyone should watch this show. These people were huge before and never saw themselves as fat. wake up people.

Long awaited pics

so here are some pics there not that great and still a lot thats not in order. here they are...

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; Election aside I think we really need to remember and to think and pray for these men and women and their families. Seems like the media has forgot about these people while the election has been going on kind of nice not hearing all the medias negativity about it, but sad that it looses all the recognition these people get. I for one am thankful for these men and women who are out there so we can live normal lives back here. Think about those who are away this Thanksgiving and Christmas, don't forget about these guys over there because they are doing it for us.

Like this even does any justice to what they are doing, but people need to stop saying "cut off funding for the war" and things like that because there are a lot of soldiers over there that need encouragement for what they put up with on a day to day basis a long with their families.

car buying

So Lindz needs a new car...BAD. I feel bad for her driving the car she does I know she hates it, and I don't trust it. As bad as I want to buy something cool like a Land Rover Discover (I heard the are full of problems) and no it get 11 MPG but she would look good driving it. haha. So then I go back to the Corolla I mean it will be almost new and be a very reliable great car to have. Then I go look at saabs, BMW's that are a little older and a few more miles but still in the price range, I still go back to the Toyota's I know they are great cars that last so I think as long as Lindz drives it and likes how it drives that is what we will be getting seems to be practical and being practical is a good idea right now.

Stir something up.

On my way to lunch Tuesday I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on an "Obama 08" tie. Again I laughed as he had given away his political preference--just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn, even though the actual recipient deserved money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

(not me something I read)

As a side note you will think that this is not relevant because it will only affect those making 250k or more a year, but I but the owner of the restaurant could be in that range, then he hires less people, the people that work there work more, and maybe he can't afford to have them all working there so some get fired, and the ones that stay have to work harder but do not earn more money. Interesting if you look at it this way right? I mean your boss having less take home will probably end up making you have less take home if they can still afford to keep you on staff. Especially if you work for a small company.

Wii?? To my shock and surprise the Wii doesn't even have a DVD player. Weird. Seems like every other gaming system has one. Thats stupid if you ask me. I guess the blu ray player is the must have right now but for $250 and to have to pay more for dvds that I never buy, because I mostly just rent out of the redbox it is not worth the money until it becomes mainstream. I have a lot of sinus problems, I used to get a lot of really bad sinus headaches so after a few visits to the ENT doc, he told be I had broken my nose in 3 places and if I had nose surgery I would not have sinus headaches anymore, well it was the worse surgery ever absolutely miserable, but it seemed to work for a little while. Then I started to get more headaches and became way more sensitive to smells. I can't handle different laundry detergents, dryer sheets, lotion of any scent, different shampoo, basically anything different. I feel bad for Lindz she has to live with me and has to be careful what she uses for her hair and so on cause she knows I can't handle smells. When I say I can't handle them I mean I get congested and a bad sinus headache almost instantly and start feeling sick. The absolute worst smells that I can't handle at all are those plug in air fresheners or car ones. Candles are also not allowed.

So yeah, I am basically a weird-o. Ha sorry. But on Tuesday on my way home from work I stopped and bought a Neti Pot which I had heard of before but thought was to weird to try, well I have become desperate so I bought one. I have now used it 4 times and am already noticing the difference this thing is great, hopefully no more addicting nose sprays for a while. I am going to post a pic of this thing weirdest thing but it works and works awesome. check out some youtube videos of people using it.

Take Two

"I just have to ask why people are so emotionally moved by this whole election thing? People bawling and chanting at a victory rally? These people are simply public servants, politicians. Nothing more nothing less. They are not gods and I find that people who look at them that way perplexing. The idea that a person is endowed by god to rule went out with the kings and queens.

The fact is, Gov't cannot solve people's problems, even though more and more people think so, only people can solve their own problems. I'm back. Well what to talk about on the morning after the election hhhmmmmm maybe the election. It turned out as I thought it would with Mr. Obama taking the win. As angry and disgusted as I am right now and last night, it is time to get over it and start gaining a respect for a new president. This will probably make some people wonder, but I am not going to sit here and take stabs at the guy who is going to be president for the next 4 years at least. I think if he is going to be president, I will have respect for him. I had talked with some people while in Rome about having a certain respect for our leaders, saying you don't have to like everything they do but there has to be a level of respect still in place because they are our leaders. So I am sticking to what I said. So to anyone that wants to "throw it in my face" that Obama won save your breath or your typing because it is over one side won and it wasn't what I was pushing for but there is nothing to do about it now, so I will take a positive stand about the whole thing. This got me thinking after I went and voted. On the backside of the ballot there was a vote yes or no to change wording in the constitution about taking the word idiot out. I mean yeah idiot is slang now but it used to be a defined word that described someone. Well this just got me thinking about other ways to be politically correct.

For example, African American is politically correct when talking about a black person. But seriously does this make since. I mean I am not a Irish/englis/german American, I think saying African American is like saying where I am originally from. Maybe if a black american was from Africa and lived there part of their life it would be ok but seems more degrading, but what do I know I am not black so do not know how I would feel about it.

alright sorry this is short, no means to take offense to anything I said. Everyone says how the movie has made guys buy their wives or significant others gifts and start treating them differently. The movie as a whole was good, this is one of those movies where the message is what is important and what makes it a good movie. The acting was a little rough, it took me about 20 mins into the movie before I could stop focusing on the acting and start focusing on the message. The movie was in the big theater at Jordan Creek, I was surprised by this after coming out of the movie. Fireproof was was in your face about a lot of different things, like how to treat your spouse, knowing Jesus Christ as your personal savior, and how these two things work together. A movie like this may have a effect on peoples hearts and my anger people that don't want to hear the message of the movie.Overall I thought the movie was pretty good and going into getting married on Saturday it shows a lot of what not to do. I would recommend the movie to just about anyone in a relationship. But when you go to watch it focus on the message not the acting.

be back Monday. The worst though was today when they were supposed to bring the fridge door (has a tiny dent) for the second time. The first time the one they brought was dented really bad. So when the lady called I was like as long as they take the door out and make sure it isn't damaged before they call me at work and have me meet them there. She assured me it would go smoothly. So I go meet them out there at 10 a this morning and guess what they had the complete wrong door. Big waste of my time 15 minutes out there 10 minutes there while they try and figure out their challenging job of getting the right thing on the truck and checking to make sure it is right and then 15 minutes back to work. Thats 40 minutes wasted of my day not to mention the gas I wasted going over there and back and take that times two because this is the second time they have done this. So of course I had to call and let them know what I though (chew them out) and find out the person I need to talk to is gone today. So I call the builder I mean they are the reason I am having to do this in the first place. I had to meet a guy there yesterday to replace cabinets he had everything he needed it was quick at a set time so that worked out. Now I am supposed to meet Direct TV out there between 9-1 I told them I couldn't afford to sit and wait for them to get there so I convinced them to call me 30 min before they were going to come and it is a good thing cause it is almost 12 and they have yet to call. Hopefully this afternoon goes smoothly with Direct TV otherwise I am going to blow up. Customer service at its best once again.

knowing "people"

It is very important to know the right people these days. People can get you a long way. Name dropping in the right situation can land you business and could get you a job. It can also get you good deals among other things. What is really important is keeping a good relationship with a lot of people. Things can turn on you real fast if you piss the wrong person off. I am not speaking of any specific situation I just think it is important to have positive relationships with people in general because it will help you get somewhere in life. If you are known to many as an ass hole there are going to be a lot of closed doors. When you have a negative experience with people it can turn around and really burn you or them depending on which way the door swings. I am not the type to hold grudges but I know people that will stop at nothing until someone they dislike is drivin into the ground.

Busy time

It was a busy weekend and still lots to do for the wedding that is in 12 days so I am not going to post much on here, just got a lot more busy at work too. I am not trying to be politically correct and not trying to state the facts, just trying to voice my opinions and some reasoning behind my views. This is a different from the BIG word mumbo jumbo you will read on political site or news sites or hear on TV. This is a real person talking not trying to follow the rules of anything out there. Just to make that clear.

Another thing is I respect everyone that has their own opinion and think thats what is great about this wacked out country we live in. Everyone has there own views on different issues and thats great. I don't agree with everything a republican does or everything a democrat does but I do have OPINIONS on somethings that I have noticed that go unsaid just about everywhere else.

As for our welfare programs, they are messed up now and obviously don't work but there are people out there that need these programs to survive and there are people that deserve to take advantage of it, but the problem is, it is not regulated enough to make it fare.

Anyway I got to get back to work just thought I would clear up what this blog was all about.

My writing doesn't always make sense going from brain to keyboard but thats how I like it I am not checking these things over to hand into a english teacher.

So my sister-in-law wrote this note on facebook I am assuming after the debates last night. But it just seems right for everyone my age that is for Obama because he makes them feel warm and fuzzy inside when he talks maybe you should start taking a deeper look. I mean how do you feel about going to work everyday working your ass off knowing that some low life is sitting on their ass watching their new big screen and paying for their food with food stamps that YOU paid for. Well the democrats are all for increasing the aid for these types of programs....so as long as your ok with supporting the lazy asses of society with your paycheck then VOTE FOR CHANGE....your change going to other people instead of into your bank account.

Here is her note...

Election Views Excerpts - Socialism/Racism
Although I can respect Barrak Obama, I cannot in good faith vote for someone who seems to want to take our country closer and closer toward the ideas of a socialist society. Our country was founded on the principle of each individual deserving the right to the PURSUIT of happiness. We are not entitled to it! As soon as the government starts taking over the private sector, our freedoms begin to dwindle. It is not the job of the government to take my money and spread it out among the people. That’s what they do in China (communism/socialism)! And I’m pretty sure the majority of Americans would rather suffer a bit financially than be oppressed. That seems to be Obama’s idea of a good government and the moment you head towards any type of high socialism, it gets a little scary!

So ok, let’s rescue this country. The government has a right to do that. But once it’s rescued…. BACK OFF! We need less government involvement in our everyday lives, not more!

I am so tired of hearing about racism in this campaign. If Colin Powell were running, hands down, I'd vote for him. He's brilliant, honorable and has years of experience. Obama did nothing to allay MY fears. I truly believe that this man is dangerous. People revert most of the time, there are exceptions, to how they grew up. Principles/actions/doctrines/beliefs were ingrained into our brains from the time we were born. As a full grown adult, how often do we really deviate from our past (get past points of immaturity and adolescence). Obama has no experience and operates on what other people in his party tell him to do. One person puts it this way, "In all reality, if he were not black, he would have been laughed out of the Democratic primaries by his own party because of his lack of experience. His party is saying that the only reason someone would NOT vote for him is that he is black. The reverse must then be true. The only reason they are voting for him is that he IS black. They are setting our country up for a civil war; if McCain wins, we may be looking at riots of record proportions." (News Forum quote). He truly doesn't have experience. Running a campaign and voting undecided in the Senate is not political experience in my eyes.

And although democrats have controlled the House and Senate for the past 2 years, some people think the following...
I think that McCain won but I really want Obama to win the election so this country can learn what the Democrats are really about. They will also be in charge of everything and will no longer be able to blame the other party for everything even though they will try. Everyone thinks they are for the working man but in reality they love welfare and social programs and will raise taxes to support them. I have nothing against helping people who really need help but I’m sick and tired of my tax dollars going to people who don’t have a clue to what work is. I live in South Carolina which is such a nice place to live but the medicaid and food stamp program is so full of fraud and abuse that it’s sickning. The politicians will do nothing about it because they are afraid of losing votes. That’s one example of why I’m looking forward to the democrats being in charge of eveything so americans will wake up and realize why the democrats have had trouble holding onto the white house over the years.

p.s. McCain truly isn't even a Republican. He's a democrat in Republican clothes. Sarah Palin is a Republican. It blows my mind that people even try to compare McCain to Bush. McCain is much farther "left" than Bush is.

Wendys is fast food!

I keep hearing this commercial on the radio that is a Wendys commercial and they say at the end of all of them "It's way better then fast food, It's Wendys" Sorry Wendys but you are as fast food as it gets. SICK. I can't believe a fast food companies marketing campaign and slogan is based on saying they are not fast food, is this so the fatties that eat that crap feel better about themselves? Thats about the last thing we need is fat people thinking they are not eating fast food when they have Wendys Those resturants should have to have a warning label on them like cigarettes. Every liberal out there has something to say about Palin, how dumb she is, how inexperienced she is, how she doesn't know what shes doing, and on and on and on. But guess what people, she is running for vice pres, shes not the one we should be focused on. Personally I think shes great, she has good tastes in glasses and shes a hockey mom. Hockey moms are tough they put up with a lot and even with her flaws that everyone likes to focus on, technically she has more executive experience then that other guy who is running for PRESIDENT not VICE-President. I mean if we want to get technical. Shes real, not a fake figure like Hilary or even the other 2 candidates along with her running mate.

McCain is one smart man, he brings her in and all of the sudden all the democrats start ripping on her for everything and complain about her and almost forget that they are going against McCain not Palin directly. He must be a pretty bright OLD man. I cant drink it black but with a little coffee mate french vanilla I am good to go. I should have probably made sure all the soap was rinsed off the cap though, that mixed with coffee tastes horrible. So this whole coffee drinking thing also saves me money because I no longer go to starbucks as often.

HOMEOWNERS

Lindz and I closed on our house last night. No one is perfect on this earth, not even close. I am sick of everyone focusing on the bad in people. Well we all know the that people have strengths and weaknesses I just think when talking about someone who may be the next president or vice-president of the United States we need to focus on the positives. I am not saying the weaknesses shouldn't be brought up those are really important things to know but do we need to focus on the weaknesses more the the strengths? I think the commercials of the two bashing the other one are ridiculous. I am so sick of hearing about politics and here I am talking about it, oh well I guess it got to me.

It is scary to think that our country will have a leader based on a popularity contest of who is the bigger of the 2 (or 4) celebrities, who is to old and who is to young.

So far this thing is a joke, but I guess it was four years ago too.

P4 WoW

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wu3FysmghD8/SNpu-_0yXuI/AAAAAAAAAJ0/MzqJpbhb5Ns/s320/P4+bike.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249630344217517794" />
http://www.cervelo.com/bikes.aspx?bike=P42009

The p4 is out and slowtwitch is going crazy about it. He said he was from some church that believed in world peace and not seeing races and colors of people. He then said he was in a leadership program and part of his training was to be able to sing to strangers. He then asked if he could sing to two of my co-workers, then he began to see you are my sunshine I was holding my mouth not to laugh and my co-workers were bursting out in awkward laughs as he sang. He pulled out a box of sun catchers made of sea shells to try and sell them or take a donation. when denied he moved onto the next set of desks where he gave his talk again but didn't sing my boss said nicely were not interested and we need to get back to work can you please leave then he kept talking so my boss was more stern about him leaving then he stopped at my desk and knocked on my desk I was like crap should I leave my headphones on and pretend I have music plying and ignore him or acknowledge him? Before I had time to answer that my boss yelled "hes not interested either, now please leave so my employees can get back to work" So the kid left.

Great story, entertaining too. The sad part is this is the kind of crap that gives Christianity a bad name. I mean sounded more like a cult. Probably was one. Or maybe it had nothing to do with church maybe he just wants money and is annoying as possible until he gets something whatever it is or was the kid is brainwashed.

Thats it for now...

House walk threw

Lindz and I have our house walk-threw today at 3 were both pretty excited that it is finished and we get it in a week. I am really sick of hearing about other peoples strong views one way or another really only one way bothers me but really thats because most people that I disagree with do not have any reason except hating on the other side of things for no apparent reason, like stupid reasons and using words like hate.

ok I will say something....

if someone makes promises and basis a campaign around it but doesn't say one thing about how they are going to make it happen. That persons supporters are a bunch of suckers falling for that, I mean we all want to hear those words and know they need to happen no matter what side we are on but honestly how can you just hear them think it is great and not expect a way of action or even a plan to bring about those words. I don't get it. He can sure speak and draw me in with his words but all I have to do is think about what he said and realize he didn't say anything about HOW he is going to make it happen.

More to come but you have to do more then tell me what every American wants to hear, you have to tell me HOW it is going to happen. As someone that has commuted by bike and rode on the road many times I know that there are a lot of drivers that don't understand the concept of sharing the road. You would think people would think to themselves man this guy or woman is riding to work good for them they are helping stop our dependency on oil and helping the environment and getting exercise. Instead people think that stupid bike needs to get on the sidewalk or get off the road. Crazy people don't understand that riding on the sidewalk is not only uncomfortable but also probably more dangerous then riding on the road, because of all the intersection you have to cross where cars are turning into or out of.

So heres the deal, if you see a bike riding on the road, don't get mad if you have to slow down and wait to pass them safely, it is hardly worth the couple seconds verses possibly hurting or killing a cyclists that is just trying to save a buck on gas or doing some good for our environment.

I agree with the fact that just because you are on a bike doesnt mean you should be able to run stop signs and red lights. If you are going to ride on the road you follow the rules of the road.

Don't be surprised if you brush past a cyclist and the cyclists gives you the finger, it is going to happen and if your lucky enough to get stopped at the next stop light and the cyclist catches you I bet your car will get a new look on "accident" maybe a nice scratch down the side or a kicked out mirror whoops.

Share the road, please.

Satisfied with what we have

So we live is this crazy world where things a possessions kind of RULE! What kind of car you drive, how big is your flat screen TV? How nice is your house? Home much it cost? How many karates is that ring? What is your job? What does it pay? Where is your Coach bag? Where are you vacationing? and on and on and on.

It is easy to get caught up in all this when friends and family around you have some thing you my want. I am guilty of this I always want more can't ever be satisfied with what I have. Thats just it I realize it. Being aware of it makes it better. Working on being satisfied with where I am. I mean I have it made I have a good job, I am getting married, my fiancee has a good job, we just bought a house. I have a few bikes and am able to do triathlons.

No one seems satisfied anymore. Everyone wants a different job, a bigger house, to live in a different state and on and on and on it goes. It is okay to be a little unsatisfied I mean you would have to be to move up in the work world, to have drive to succeed is one thing but jumping around trying to find satisfaction through new jobs new toys or new houses is not ever going to work. There is always something new. I mean if I went and bought a new road bike I have been wanting from Bikeworld I would be satisfied for what like a week before I had to start making upgrades on it and then I would be on to something else I am sure.

So from now on I am focusing on all the great things I have and not on all the things I want in life, I am done making myself crazy over the newest thing I have to have. Don't get me wrong I still want that new bike but I am not focused on it I am focused on all the great things I have going right now.

The grass is always greener on the other side, careful though the dog shits there too...
